I’m Michelle Haywood, founder of Ordinary Classrooms Educational Consultancy Ltd. I have worked across education for more than 30 years as a teacher, SENCO, school and trust leader, local authority adviser, university lecturer, safeguarding reviewer, coach and consultant. Much of my work has focused on SEND, inclusion, safeguarding and the practical realities of leadership in schools. The resources I create for TES are designed with one aim- to make busy school life a little easier. They are grounded in current guidance, professional experience and the kinds of questions I hear every week from teachers, SENCOs, DSLs and school leaders. I try to avoid resources that simply repeat policy or tell schools what they already know. Instead, I focus on practical tools that can be picked up and used straight away- briefings, checklists, planning documents, staff-development materials and resources that help translate guidance into everyday practice.
