This project is designed to be taught over 10 lessons and will teach pupils how to create and print a keyring that is inspired by Pixel Art. This has been designed for year 7 pupils but could easily be adapted to suit other year groups. Included is:

  • a baseline test to assess prior knowledge to learning
  • a grade descriptor based on the project
  • worksheets that are based upon the design process
  • a step by step guide on how to make the product.
  • revision materials
  • end of unit test.
  • homework tasks
  • detailed evaluation pages

This booklet has been designed to look at the complete design cycle. starting from the design brief and moving onto the design specification. Research and product analysis allow pupils to look at existing products then the design process. We use Sketchup 8 but we have found that it works on all other versions of the CAD software.
