Students have fun while programming the Bee Bot robot to find Pete’s color shoes. Adaptation of “Pete the Cat, I Love my White Shoes” by James Dean.

Recognizing colors and identifying color names is an important part of a child’s development. The identification of colors helps children create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.

This Bee Bot activity is designed specifically for use by early learners.

Students:

  • choose a task card
  • fill out the program sheet
  • navigate their Bee Bot to the correct color tennis shoe
