A set of three lessons following ‘C’est bientôt dimanche?’ Studio GCSE Higher Module 3.1. Students are reminded of common verbs to describe daily routine to start the lessons then go on to practice using modal verbs pouvoir and devoir and asking questions. Students practice their skills through a range of activities from the book enhanced with support and challenge activities as well as additional slides to explain the grammar, additional exercises to practice using pouvoir and devoir and forming questions and differentiated translations in to English and French. A wipeout game is also used to consolidate student knowledge. The lessons conclude with a photo card task with student friendly criteria and an extended writing task with success criteria to facilitate self/peer assessment.
