A Christmas themed Maths lesson.
A lesson plan, PowerPoint and three corresponding activities that are linked to continuing and creating patterns.
Suitable for KS1 and lower KS2.
Included is a PowerPoint that gives examples of Christmas themed patterns. Students will compete patterns with two, three and four images. They will also identify the missing elements in patterns.
Includes three worksheets
Continue the pattern (SEN activity, students have the same pictures and will add two colours).
Complete the patterns by selecting which image comes next.
Insert the missing patterns (students will draw the missing image – first two questions on WS are continuing patterns).
Create my own pattern. Given template to create their own Christmas pattern.
Printable activities are in the file 'Patterns-activities.pdf'.
