I created this as a mini exam for KS4 Design and Technology students. It on a powerpoint and is written in the style of the ones from the AQA GCSE Design and Technology paper. There are also some isometric questions on the back should they finish the paper early. This paper takes about an hour. The answers are also supplied. I have used it with years 9 and 10 and it has proved a very useful tool in assessing their drawing capabilities.
There are 7 parts to the paper:
Part 1) 5 multiple choice questions on drawing techniques
Q1) A question where students need to complete an orthographic drawing of a toy wooden car. (similar to the 2024 paper)
Q2) An exploded drawing of a table (similar to the 2022 paper)
Q3) A bird box which they have to draw in 2 point perspective (similar to the 2020 paper)
Q4) A salt and pepper pots with rack which they have to complete an orthographic drawing and do an isometric drawing
Q5 and 6) A question where students need to complete an orthographic drawing of a alarm clock and complete a one point perspective of it. (similar to the 2023 paper)
