6x45min home lessons that make up a complete project that looks at the design process to create an end product inspired by current world affairs. Designed for Distance Learning this project follows a full design process inspired by that of the GCSE specification. Pupils research, design, create and evaluate and get to make a high end product even in the confinements of their home. All resources are ready to go straight onto Google Classroom with little instruction.

This is a great project and I have adapted it to suit my children who are younger at home. I have linked different templates for the making tasks so that pupils can focus on the aesthetics of the product and it’s suitability for their selected target audience. Pupils will gain a clearer understanding of the importance of using PPE during current times and how it can/cannot be effective. It is an opportunity for them to have a safer knowledge of how to remain safe.

All materials for the practical can be found around the house. They can trace/print the template that is embedded in the PDF or find their own! I have tried to make it as accessible as possible for those with or without computer access.

There is a clear time line that is explained to pupils throughout the project and the templated sheets help pupils stretch to their full potential. Look forward to seeing hundreds of variations of flu masks that will help pupils feel safer during this difficult time.
