Useful activity for a new class or start of a new year.

The pupils write on the initial sheet their answers to their own personal questions and make up a Maths problem to go with this answer.

The pupils then go to the Figure me out poster, transfer all their circled answers onto the circles on the poster. Using mini post-it's or such like, the pupils write their maths problem on it and stick it over the answer. In the middle, pupils can either write their name or draw a self portrait.

The pupils then go around the class figuring out information about their peers and can self-check their work as the answer will be under the post its.

This is great for differentiation as the pupils can make it as challenging as they like. When pupils are figuring out other pupils, perhaps encourage them to look at the questions before they try to answer them.
