This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on dividing a fraction by a whole number is linked to the Year 6 National Curriculum. In total there are eleven slides:

Slides 1 - 5 and 7 - 8 (teach) - Step by step instructions with examples of how to divide a fraction by a whole number.
Slides 6 and 9 (practise) - Slide 6 has questions for the children to answer where they need to divide a fraction by 2. Slide 9 extends this further where the children divide the fraction by 3 and 5.
Slides 10 and 11 (extend) - On slide 10 the children have to apply their new skills to solve word problems. Slide 11 provides the answers

The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 6 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2.

The slides can be edited to suit the needs of your class but this resource, including the images must not be distributed to others without our permission.
