Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 1 Section A Q4 lesson, exploring an extract from Chinese Cinderella, by Adeline Yen Mah (from the anthology for component 1).
We look at non-fiction texts and AO2, selecting key information and making interpretations, exploring the use of structure language in the extract. We analyse a Q4 model answer, including the use of an effective introduction, before going on to write scaffolded structure and language Q4 answers. We use peer assessment and success criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of our analyses.
