Taking instructions while learning directions.

Example:

A floorplan is shown. Put a toy box in the southeast corner of the room. Put a red rug in front of the couch.

Given specific instructions for placing furniture and objects on various household floor plans, students practice north, south, east, west directions and execute position-in-space concepts like Around, In Front, Between, and Behind. Floor plans include the Living Room, Playroom, Kitchen, Bedroom, and Entire House.

With each of the 65 lessons, directions become increasingly more detailed. So, whether students cut-and-paste, draw, or place-and-mark the objects, they address a number of skills including comprehension, thinking, fine motor, eye-hand, visual perception, and creativity.
