Launch a meaningful whole-class reading challenge with this engaging and thought-provoking Future Voices assembly and lesson resource for Upper KS2 and KS3.

Future Voices encourages pupils to see reading as more than simply finishing books. Through discussion, questioning, different perspectives and real-world connections, pupils are encouraged to think critically about what they read and recognise that their own ideas and voices matter.

This ready-to-use resource is designed to introduce the Future Voices Reading Challenge in approximately 25–30 minutes and can be delivered as a whole-school assembly, year-group assembly, English lesson, library session, tutor-time activity or literacy launch.
