This lesson looks to prepare students for a GCSE question on women and the protest movements of the 1960s in America.

The lesson looks to analyse the National organisation for Women (NOW) and The Women’s Liberation Movement. The Successes and limitations of the protest movements will be considered via a card sort activity.

There is differentiation for SEN/ EAL students. Included are:

A lower card sort activity
PowerPoint presentation
higher ability card sort activity
Information sheet
Mark scheme to help students answer the 8 mark GCSE question

The resource works best with the WJEC GCSE History: The USA 1910-1929 and Germany 1919-1947 (WJHI) Paperback book, however the information sheet can be used just as well ( which is provided)
