• Use pairs to ten and place value to add/subtract single digits
• Sort calculations as to whether number facts or place value can be used to help
• Find a difference using pairs to ten and place value
• Link arrays and hops, learn facts 2, 5, 10, introduce ÷ sign and realise that division can leave some left over
