A fun, hands-on maths activity for EYFS/KS1 with a Wild Animals theme!
Children count, cut and order animal cards from 1–6, then stick them onto a template to show their understanding.
Includes:
• 10 pages of counting cards e.g. lions, tigers, crocodiles, monkeys, zebras and mixed wild animals.
• Cut-and-stick ordering template
• Wild animals colouring sheet to finish

Children practise counting to 6, recognising numerals, matching numbers to quantities, and ordering numbers, helping to build strong foundations in number.

The hands-on elements of cutting, sticking and colouring also develop fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and pencil control.

Opportunities for discussion encourage the use of mathematical language such as more, less, first, next and last, while the engaging wild animals theme supports creativity and expressive arts.

Overall, the resource provides a practical and teacher-friendly way to reinforce early number skills through interactive learning.
