Students guess the names of the plate boundaries.
Students write down the key idea and then move around the classroom collecting the information about the three types of plate boundaries, this can be done as a table in their exercise books. Extension: Complete the key questions on your table.
Students watch the movement of the three plate boundaries and teacher discusses their movements to support the information that they have gathered.
Students get a model answer which they have to mark using the exam mark scheme. Exam Question: Explain the physical processes that happen at constructive plate margins. (4) Students complete the exam question and then peer mark giving their partner a mark out of 4 for their answer; with two areas that they have done well and an area of improvement.
Students assess the impact of plate movements to urban areas. Sentence starters and hints are provided to help the students develop a strong answer.
