OIE - Lesson 3: Using LAYERS, CUTOUT and ADJUSTMENTS to create a contrasting image

Lesson 3 of 6 - Students will use images sourced from the web (or their own if available); manipulating the image using layers, cutouts and adjustments to create a contrasting image. In this instance a contrasting image involves joining a black & white version of an image with a color element of the image shown - similar to the masking feature in Photoshop.

Emphasis should be placed on managing files & folders as well as using consistent naming procedures - in all examples provided, snake-case is used.

Peer discussion and support via email from both peer & teacher is encouraged to allow students to continue with their work outside of the classroom, further developing the images.
