8 Punctuation lessons, designed to improve literacy and pupils use of punctuation in their creative writing.
Each lesson follows a similar structure.
- Pupils are given quotes from fiction and asked to identify the similarity. The similarity is the skill being studied that lesson.
- Definitions are given and examples. Pupils are taught how to use the skill.
- A quiz where pupils fix the punctuation errors in the sentence. (Answer slides included.)
- Pupils finish the lesson by writing creatively, consolidating the skill they have learned that lesson. Planning activities are included.

Lessons are on the following skills:
- Full stops and commas
- Exclamation and question marks
- Dashes
- Brackets
- Ellipses
- Speech marks
- Colons
- Semi-colons
A different image is provided for all of the lessons, except the speech marks one, however pupils are given a focus. The images all differ and include: a crowded beach, haunted house, theme park, storm, zoo, and more.
