A worksheet on the following triangle and parallel lines theorems:

• The line segment joining the mid - points of any two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and equal to half of it.
• The median to the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to half of the hypotenuse
• In a right triangle the side opposite the 30 degree angle is half the length of the hypotenuse.
• If three or more parallel lines cut off congruent segments on one transversal, then they cut off congruent segments on every transversal.
