A very effective and straightforward lesson, looking to introduce students to why we learn about World War Two in schools, The Holocaust. The lesson should be aimed as an introductory starter to the study of World War Two, and really is a reflective opportunity for students to become engaged with the topic.

The main task asks students to reflect on a scene from Band of Brothers, where American soldiers discover a concentration camp during the time period. Then follows a literacy activity.

A very simple introduction, could be used as a filler lesson.

Warning- Clip from Band of Brothers contains distressing images.
