Valentine Paper Bag Letter Box :: Easy and quick So many possibilities and extensions. An easy to make Valentine Letter Box that is perfect for Valentine Card exchanges. Many variations for your kids to design their own unique Letter Box. Mix and match options can easily differentiate creativity abilities in the classroom. I have used this simple craft in my room for years. Every year we create these Valentine Letter Boxes. On Valentine’s Day the kids come in with their Valentine cards and delight in reading the names on the cards and delivering them to their correct Letter Box. Once the chaos is completed and all the Valentine cards are hand-out all I have to do is staple up the roof together and Voila! Valentines are packed up and ready to go home. Kids love creating these easy Letter Boxes. Check out the preview of the templates and easy to follow instructions. Year of the Dog Chinese Lanterns A creative way to decorate your classroom for Chinese New Year on February 16th, 2018. Dogs hanging from the ceiling or sitting on the shelf, your kiddos will love creating and putting on their own personal touches on these Chinese New Year cuties. These Lunar New Year units are designed in a Mix & Match format. You are able to pick the pieces that you want, depending on the needs and the abilities of your students. There are so many different possibilities to create your Year of the Dog lantern. Each Chinese lantern creation is designed with a printed lantern template and a blank template. Blank templates are intended for your kids to come up with their own designs or you can have your kids color, cut out and glue on the Dog faces. These Chinese lantern crafts are great for developing fine motor skills, following the directions and listening skills. I currently teach Kindergarten and my little ones love creating lanterns. I just teach each step in isolation and then put it all together. This is a great activity for buddy classes to work on…again teach the steps in isolation and then put it together. With my buddy class, these lanterns will take a few sessions to complete. In addition, 6 activity worksheets included to enhance learning about the Year of the Dog and Chinese New Year. Winter Scavenger Hunt Purpose : At the end of this Scavenger hunt students will be able to learn about the season winter with its characteristics/fun/facts and vocabulary. 1. Print the 16 Scavenger Hunt cards on card stock or brightly -colored paper and cut them apart along the black lines. 2. Make copies of the Scavenger Hunt questions worksheet. Each student needs a copy. 3. Place the Scavenger Hunt cards around your classroom where students will be able to find them. You can put them on chairs, on the computer keyboard, on the back of your classroom door, on the sides of student desks, on the chalkboard or wherever you like. 4. Students have to search the room and find all of the sentence cards to answer the questions. You can differentiate by having students work alone or with a classmate.
