Nollaig na mBan is celebrated in Ireland on Jan 6th. This lesson includes a PowerPoint presentation with slides explaining why Jan 6th is celebrated in general, what Nollaig na mBan means, some common names for the similar day in other countries, a video of the poem Oiche Nollaig na mban ( as well as the text in Irish and the translation). There is also a small ‘homework’ question page on a word document with some questions/ideas for students to consider after the lesson .
