A brilliant learning mat designed for AQA Alevel - Respiratory System.
Learning Outcomes. These are differentiated at three levels, students have to move around the mat working to complete each task (support sheets are currently not included in this version, but they can be easily made). Each task has a different difficulty level and thus more or less points are awarded. Students need to achieve their target grade by the end of the lesson - or whatever works best for your students.
Included are a list command words such as identify, describe and explain familiarising pupils with the key terminology that they will use in exams.
Starter Activity: This could include a number of activities such as a reap of last lesson etc. On the example above the starter activity is to find out pupils prior knowledge of the new topic or to recap existing knowledge.
QR Codes bring the mat alive and and are placed at various points. The codes link to various youtube video's, exam questions or various journal articles.
Check points: These allowed pupils to check what they had learnt at various points in the lesson. They can act as mini plenaries or for group discussion.
Learning Activities: The learning activities are based on the different styles of learning and appeal to all learners in the class. I normally allow student choice - students choose what they want to complete and when.
An excellent resource to support your A Level students understanding of the heart's conduction system. Step by step guide with visual prompts. Included in this pack is a set for the student to complete and a teacher copy with the answers.
