Very effective power point which shows the mechanism students most over !! The use of little animation to help those visual learners to remember the reaction with great confidence as I have shown the mechanism BOTH with arrows AND without. This is mainly catered for ALL major examining boards namely AQA, OCR and Edexcel specification. Also used in the USA for other board possibly.

I have made a PPT covering the principles of calculating energy change of reactions. My many years of experience I have noticed that question is done very poorly by many learners, many through simple mistakes that can be rectified very easily. I also covered the 3 main situations that are required. For each one I have explained the use of the equation required: ΔE = m c ΔT and then explained an example of each one. This question comes almost EVERY year in AS and A2 exam papers so it worth looking at. Use it as a complete lesson and then follow up with many compiled question from past papers. All the best. Your comments and reviews are welcomed. If there is anything you like me to cover and prepare is also welcome. Any review and a contact email will be rewarded with ANY one resource you like FREE of charge.

I am a NMR specialist and enjoy teaching anything to do with spectroscopy as its also gives some excitement in the class - a bit like solving a crime! ALL students enjoy trying to get to the answer first so gives students a level of a competition. My background was in Forensic Science so I also enjoy this, lol. I have attached a worksheet with an exam style question worth 28 marks and can be used as mini test, classwork after teaching Mass Spec, IR, high resolution NMR (proton and carbon), empirical formula. It also requires the 2,4-DNPH test knowledge and how to find the exact compound using the hydrazone. Your reviews, as always, will be appreciated as I can also make a worksheet for your personal use if you drop me an email in the review. I can email ONE free of charge. I have not included the answers to this as still working on it . IF you like to download it and want the please drop me your email with a review and I can email the answers FREE

As an assessor for external I find that Ionic Equations are very easy marks for students to gain. However, its frustrating to see that very few correct answers are seen. I thought I make a ppt using my simple rules that I used as a student. This a FREE resource for helping to build a strong found on basic equations. I have also posted this on my You Tube channel for use, which I have attached here for use.
