The season focus for this lesson is winter. Many detailed pictures are attached of snow, snowball, snowman, snow angel, snow fights, snow covered park/mountains, fireplace, hot drinks (hot chocolate), snow in the city and snow in London. Also discussed in detail are the non-religious winter holidays and religious holidays that often occur in the winter months (Hanukkah, Christmas, and Diwali). Children will learn about these religious holidays and a special item often associated with each holiday (Christmas tree, Mince pies, Menorah, Latkes, Sufganiyot, Diya/Diva lamps and the many different foods eaten on Diwali).
