This pack contains a thematic monthly plan covering all five PLUs. I have included some bonus worksheets for personal care as well. The activities/plans are designed to lead up to an event at the end of the month that the class/group will run. This is a FREE taster pack. I have other units of work in my shop - I’ll be adding to it month to month.

These two activities are from a larger resource that spans two weeks of activities. It is an L2LP project book including: teacher handbook, lesson plans and resources. Three different menus with a worksheet to go with each. Students read menus and select the items they would like to buy. There is a bonus question around working out change. One activity involves making change from €50, another from €20 and another from €10 so that you can differentiate within your class.

Diary Writing or Comic Strip Writing lesson, includes worksheet and stills from the film for students to sequence if they require the support or choose to make the comic strip option. For some very low ability SEN students, they have simply selected a still from the film and written a sentence about it/told an adult about that part of the film. Very diverse uses for this resource over the years! Video is easy to find on youtube.

Two picture recipes for SEN learners for flapjacks and rice krispie buns for use over two lessons. There are 3 worksheets to go with the recipes. Pre-teaching taste/texture vocab is on the first worksheet, then students go to cook their recipe, review the vocabulary sheet after cooking and students use this and the other worksheet to give opinions. Can be used for measurement, temperature in Numeracy and Giving Opinions and reading instructions in Literacy). Learning Outcome codes marked on worksheets.

Set of eight cards to laminate and cut out. Include visuals for prompting. Informal conversation starters for students to have on Mondays after the weekend. I usually have a set for each pair to take turns asking each other about their weekend.

Designed for Speaking and Listening as part of L2LP literacy outcome 1.2: Asking to obtain information. These can be used as laminated scripts/prompts to revisit over the year or evidence worksheets. For one month, I had ‘phonecall time’ as part of our timetable every week. These were used to support students practicing phoning local businesses to get information.

Teacher notes: We had a week where we practised making phonecalls to different kinds of businesses. I printed out these cards out and students wrote on them in whiteboard markers. This meant they could be swapped around day-to-day so students did different ones each day of that week.

Designed for L2LP Literacy Learning outcome 1.2: ASking Questions to obtain information. There are five games based on Where’s Wally. Simply print and laminate two copies of each for students to play in pairs or with an adult. I have used these for a week of oral language - one game for each day. Learning Outcome code is noted on the sheets.

Contains: A ppt to introduce what puberty is with visual aids. A worksheet for labeling changes that occur in puberty in both male and female bodies. A worksheet to annotate part of the male reproductive system. Please note: worksheet contains a link to a HSE video on male reproductive system.
