The lesson itself is students watching the documentary, to be followed by a homework task to create a newspaper article about Mary. This could be developed into another lesson.

Bing card for a getting to know you activity. Students are each given an identical bingo card and have to talk with one another to identify a student that meets the criteria for each box - ideally, a different student per box. Winner is the fastest to complete their bingo card. Reviewing the “answers” as a class facilitates students sharing more information about themselves.
