A card game in for the jobs topic in Spanish. Students can practice their speaking using the infinitives in different tenses. Students work in pairs, split the pack and speak about the different categories. Arrows indicate the whether the category needs to be low or high to win the point, and the card. Student with the most cards at the end wins.

Single sided A4 homework consolidating the present tense in Spanish. QR codes built in for support links and videos

A worksheet to go alongside the film Coco, key vocabulary, characters, history, and describing the scenes. Along with a calavera skull to colour. Suitable for KS2-3.

Fully adaptable pen, paper dice template. Students have a sheet each (you could use different levels, or just one for all), and a pen and a dice between 2. They take turns to roll a 6, the first player to roll a 6 wins control of the pen and starts translating filling in the gaps. The second player is still rolling for a 6. When they’ve gotten a 6 they yell 6 and have control of the pen. Students all know how to play this so for a COVID safe version they will have their own pen, paper and dice.

QR codes on a powerpoint slide with links to Quizlet, Memrise and Word reference. Easily editable with the link in the comment section - just copy your own links then snipping tool the code over. I have also embedded the link to the code image, so that students can use this on a computer. Otherwise, this will be stuck in their books for them to use their phones.

A lesson aimed at KS3 about the Lemon Festival in France

Here are examples of writing assessments for Key Stage 3. They reflect the 40 and 90 word writing tasks. They include a marking section for targets and feedback that can be personalised to each student with a highlighter. The GCSE mark scheme is also included at the bottom. Guess Who game for MFL or EAL learners.

Thinking quilt to encourage metacognitive thinking regarding tenses and meaning. Students need to translate the verbs and then colour them according to key. Resource is fully adaptable and great for homeworks.

Attached is a first lesson for French and Spanish aimed at Year 7, but slides can be used and adapted for any year group.

A fun and interactive plenary activity, or could be used as a starter or mid lesson check. Fully editable, you can put questions or translations in the squares and then click the squares to reveal the points. Points are fully editable to meet the needs of your class. This works well with the class split into two teams.
