This AQA Additional Paper Analysis Tool will collate the 'mock' results and using the actual grade boundaries will give a grade for a) the whole paper, b) individual grades for the Biology, Chemistry and Physics aspects and c) will show the levels of progress the student has made. This has been invaluable as a monitoring and intervention tool to target individuals and classes that are falling behind. Bespoke resource that was originally written as a science project based curriculum for year 7. It could be used in primary for a project based activity that should take at least 10 hours to complete. It covers ecology, food chains, fossils, predator prey relationships. classification and adaptations of animals for survival. Lesson plans, PowerPoints, & worksheets are all included. There are some simple practicals (like making a fossil included). My pupils loved this project.

Since the declaration that GCSE Science pupils wont be able to use equations sheets in future exams, I have been thinking of a system that will help them learn the equations and help staff in facilitating that learning. I have devised this. It is supposed to be used as a starter / plenary for pupils to go over and over and try to implant the equations over time. I will use it in every lesson, parrot fashion for success! This is not board specific as they all will need to learn them, and can be used for the current legacy GCSE students too as a revision resource. This PowerPoint has 10 multiple choice questions on each of the following aspects, SI UNITS, Kinetic Energy, Power, Gravitational Potential Energy, Efficiency and Specific Heat Capacity. The PowerPoint is interactive and not linear so you can jump to any sets of questions from the home page and do them in any order. These take some time to make, but I will group the other equations together as I have for the energy equations. If you get lists in different name formats - Joe Bloggs or Bloggs, Joe or Joe in one column and Bloggs in another column... and its sends you out of your mind as you want them all in the same format, then this little tool will do it for you. Copy the list of manes in the format you don't want and use the tool to split or merge the names to your preferred format and then re-paste the list. Dead easy and will save you tons of time not to mention your sanity.
