This is a PowerPoint activity that can be used as either a starter or plenary to assess understanding of how to calculate Mr for different substances. Slide 2 could be printed onto cards and each student given a different card to work out the Mr (30 different substances in total). If the relevant substance is clicked on slide 2, the PowerPoint shows the correct Mr for that substance. This is a useful AfL tool.
