Be smarter than the average, is a presentation and activities to help students learn about mean and average numbers and how to use basic data sets. It is appropriate for learners who need a simple presentation of this subject to complement any programme of functional maths at Level 1, and can be used with a range of groups depending on their needs and abilities. Two files are included with this topic. The first file is a slide show presentation which can be used with a whiteboard or pc/laptop and projector, to add structure to the lesson for students.
