This a brand new Year 9 Careers Scheme of Work with all the resources needed to teach effectively, (PowerPoints, Worksheets and Card Sorts). The aims of this scheme of work is to make the pupils reflect on what skills they have and how they may help them gain employment in the future. They then create a C.V using examples both good and bad. Finally, the pupils are introduced to apprenticeships, what they are and shown different reasons for applying for them.

(Women’s Suffrage) This resource contains: 1x PowerPoint 10x Information Cards This lesson focusses on the militant actions and questions whether these helped or hindered women gaining the vote. It is centred around the secondary concept, ‘cause and consequence’ as students must infer what the possible consequences could be for each event. Finally, students use the information gained from the lesson to write an answer to the lesson title. The tasks are accessible for all abilities and have ‘aim higher’ sections to push the most able in your class.

Who were the Greek Gods? (Whole Lesson) This resource contains: 1x PowerPoint Lesson 1X Olympian Gods information cards The lesson introduces students to the Greek Gods first by using information cards. It then encourages the students to make inferences about Ancient Greek Society from the Gods that they worshiped. It is an effective way to getting students to link actions people took to religion. This is especially beneficial when studying Homer's Odyssey, Iliad or Greek Tragedies.

This resource consists of more than 50 keyword revision cards and a PowerPoint covering the topic of Tsardom and Communism from 1894-1945 for the new AQA GCSE 1-9 specification. Each keyword has the word and a definition which can be printed out and folded to create a keyword game. I played this with my classes and they increased their knowledge from as little as 2 keywords and definitions to 25 after a one hour lesson. Instructions on how to play the game are also included on the PowerPoint. **The keywords cover the following topics: The Tsar Provisional Government and Lenin Stalin**

Students Self Reflection Sheet: Pupil Progress chart (and faster marking) This progress chart is a great resource for all year groups to reflect on what they have learn in an individual topic. Students also reflect on who they have helped to learn a piece of information enforcing the idea that students can cement their learning through teaching others. This also helps to speed teachers marking up as there is a tick box from 1-5 for a comment on, effort, understanding and SPAG and finally a space for a teacher comment. This has sped up my own marking and the students have found the feedback easier to use and access. This is a lesson on remaining safe online. It discusses the benefits and dangers of going online and then promotes pupils to think about what it takes to be a good digital friend. The final task gets pupils to think of what they could do within their school to encourage others to do good digital deeds to make the internet a better place.

This consists of 10 lessons on the French Revolution, causes to consequences, and is based around a lot of source work on cartoons. This gets students to make inferences and link what they can see to their own knowledge. Some of the tasks require a textbook and the slides can be easily adapted for the use of any textbook.
