This lesson is all about joints, bones and why the skeleton is important. This includes a lesson plan, lesson presentation and a practical starter the works for Key stage 3 and .4. This helps set a foundation for students to understand the skeleton and sets them up for what happens in higher education. I have aimed this so that it works cross curricular, it has been created to work for Biology and Pe students.

The objectives for this are: Be able to show what a good one looks like (W.A.G.O.L.L.) Be able to write a short poem. This is best used with year 4-6 and is best in a open classroom space as the starter needsa fair bit of space. This is the power point that was used for the Young Poet 2016 workshops and all young people enjoyed but some of the games may need to be adapted to suit people with disabilities.

Get into the New Year spirit by getting your class into the right frame of mind. This lesson is about them setting targets for the New Year and getting them to think about what they want to achieve. In this there is a lesson plan, Wall display and 2 student worksheets that are already set up for you. All the lessons covered by this topic are under the code Ps.01. Further more for 2018 we have added in a related assembly PowerPoint which can be used to help link in with the growth mind set lesson which could be completed in pastoral periods during the first week back.

This resource uses a visual way to show the speed of light to students. This includes the lesson plan, experiment and Lesson Presentation for the lesson. The lesson objectives for this lesson are: Green: I can do the other two and can calculate the speed of light. Amber: I can explain what the speed of light is and how it is used. Red: I can explain what the speed of light is. This incorporates Einstein's theory of Relativity. This resource has been aimed at the high attaining students as it gives them an experiment that has been designed to stimulate them. This resource is best used at the end of the topic on light so they understand the basics of how light waves work.

This is a pack that contains two lessons, one practical and one theory. The theory lesson contains information and activities covering: Scalars, Vectors, acceleration and scale diagrams. The practical lesson works on testing acceleration due to gravity. This involves light gates and card. The practical lesson contains a foundation and higher work book with guides students through the thought process for planning a practical experiment. Both of these lessons have been used in a real life classroom and contain aspects of the specifications for AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards for physics.
