A to-be-completed mind map of the Physics unit 1 for the 2017 AQA/ Edexcel exam boards.

As GCSE season is coming ever closer, revision becomes more and more crucial to the process. This is a blank revision timetable to help students organise their week, this only includes weekday as the weekends tend to be differentiated dependant on the students activity. This goes from 15:00 - 21:00 and goes into half an hour sections.

This is a pack that contains two lessons, one practical and one theory. The theory lesson contains information and activities covering: Scalars, Vectors, acceleration and scale diagrams. The practical lesson works on testing acceleration due to gravity. This involves light gates and card. The practical lesson contains a foundation and higher work book with guides students through the thought process for planning a practical experiment. Both of these lessons have been used in a real life classroom and contain aspects of the specifications for AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards for physics.

The objectives for this are: Be able to show what a good one looks like (W.A.G.O.L.L.) Be able to write a short poem. This is best used with year 4-6 and is best in a open classroom space as the starter needsa fair bit of space. This is the power point that was used for the Young Poet 2016 workshops and all young people enjoyed but some of the games may need to be adapted to suit people with disabilities.

Get students to find the names of each of the different circuit symbols as a quick 5 minuet starter or as an easy set homework.

This lesson is aimed at looking at the different ways that we generate electricity. This is part of the electricity and circuits unit. The main objective is to get students to understand the pros and cons of different electricity generation methods. This has been aimed at a mixed ability set and allows for differentiation. This pack contains a mobile activity, a lesson plan, a worksheet starter and the lesson presentation.

A lesson based on Pathogens and how the body defends itself against them. This lesson includes homework ideas, a lesson plan and full presentation for a middle set science class. This has been aimed at trying to distinguish the difference between Antibodies, Antitoxins and Antigens. This is based on the Biology unit 1 of the AQA GCSE Pathogens topic.

This is a 3 page staged activity that includes questions that involves Differentiated denominators. Improper fractions and mixed fractions. Starting off with the same denominators this moves on to then look at different denominators, before then finally moving onto simplification.

This is a worksheet that allows for students to work out the circumference and area of various circles. The worksheet is set out in a table and attached to this is an answer sheet.

This is a staged worksheet that is aimed at multiplying and dividing fractions. Starting off with the same denominator to moving into more complex sums.

Made for Higher Tier and contains all the components of a cell that may be asked about in a GCSE unit 2 examination. Could be a useful starter for a class or as a short revision activity.

This is a resource designed to help students research space and this contains cards for the 8 planets, the main star (the sun) and the only dwarf planet in the solar system, Pluto. This is a small activity and is a different way of presenting research which is a way of getting students to find information and learn to separate the useful information from the not useful information.

Calling on the students research skills, they find the effects of performance enhancing drugs. This focuses on both the positives and the negatives as well as what there effect is.

A simple worksheet for those students who are starting to learn about averages. Includes worded problems as well as number questions. Contains 4 number questions of 10 parts each and 1 question of simple worded problems with 5 parts. This designed for students to be able to spot what the mode, median, mean and range are in a basic sequence.

Following the journey of a singular cell students draw a diagram that shows how a cell becomes part of the digestive system. This lesson includes both a lesson plan and presentation. The lesson has 3 main objectives: 1. To be able to tell how a cell becomes and organ system, 2. To be able to describe the 3 different types of tissue, 3. To be able to use a named example of this process. This lesson has been level at a lower ability set but can be adapted to work for a higher achieving set.

This activity is set up as an introduction to generating electricity or can be used as a small recap in a revision session. This includes a student worksheet and the information sheets. Stick the information sheets around the classroom and ask the students to do the leg work.

This lesson is all about joints, bones and why the skeleton is important. This includes a lesson plan, lesson presentation and a practical starter the works for Key stage 3 and .4. This helps set a foundation for students to understand the skeleton and sets them up for what happens in higher education. I have aimed this so that it works cross curricular, it has been created to work for Biology and Pe students.
