As a class, children will read and examine the novel ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo. Children will examine the main characters in the story and use drama techniques to empathise with the characters. This unit forms the first part of the Year 3 block work on poetry. In this unit, children will read and make comparisons between poems.
