About Chertsey High School

You don't just join CHS as a teacher, you join a family...

Our core values are Knowledge, Determination and Love.

It is at the foundation of our values to:

  • Develop and maintain great working relationships
  • Ensure that all decisions are made in the best interest of the children
  • Ensure that everything we do is underpinned by Christian values
  • Reach out beyond our school community, particularly to those in need and share our ethos with others.

At Chertsey High School we want to be the best school we can possibly be for our children. This means that they will get a better education here than they could hope to achieve in any other school. Essentially we set out to nurture students to be “happy” in the long term. The long term includes the time they spend here at school past the point at which they complete their education with us and stretches on throughout the entirety of their lives.

If you want to join our successful, forward-thinking academy then please contact Mary Gould, Headteacher, at gouldm@chertseyhighschool.co.uk, to discuss the position and arrange an interview.

Chertsey High School is committed to safeguarding and successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Since then, through rapid and exciting growth we are now 16 schools strong across Surrey, Hampshire and Richmond upon Thames. Message from CEO: Alex Russell

I am very proud to be the CEO of the Bourne Education Trust ('BET') and to work with like-minded and ambitious headteachers and board members. It is often said that each child gets one chance of education. Our role is to ensure that our pupils make the most of their opportunities by ensuring that our academies aspire to and reach the highest standards.’

What people say about us

Chertsey High School is very strict. But never unfair.

- - Year 7 Student

CHS is my second home. It's a safe & happy place.

- - Year 9 Student

The teachers do a lot of effort making sure we know why and how we will be able to use our subject knowledge in the real/working world.

- - Year 10 Student

I love to see how absolutely passionate my teachers are about their subjects. It's definitely the reason for my determination to enjoy every subject like they do.
