At High Storrs, we believe in nurturing each student's potential, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. With a rich history dating back over 100 years, our school has consistently been at the forefront of educational excellence, providing a dynamic environment where students thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Our curriculum is innovative with a wider range of GCSE and A level subjects on offer than most. Our core subjects are very strong with many students going on to study STEM subjects at A Level. Equally, we are renowned for our creativity and strong Arts curriculum with students of all ages excelling in Dance Drama, Music, Art, and Film Studies. We are also one of a small number of state schools nationally that teach Classics and Latin.

Values and vision

Our school prides itself on its strong academic record, with a high percentage of students consistently achieving top grades in their GCSE and A-level examinations. Additionally, our extensive extracurricular program, which includes over 50 clubs and activities, allows students to develop skills outside of the classroom and pursue their passions in sport, literature, history, ecology, the arts, STEM and much more.

High Storrs School is not just about academic achievement; it's about holistic development. Our pastoral care system ensures that students feel supported and valued, promoting their social, emotional, and personal growth alongside their academic success. At KS3 and 4 we have a strong House system and vertical tutor groups that support our students to ‘learn, succeed and thrive’. We are an inclusive, happy and successful community.

Minerva Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust of schools. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for pupils who are from a wide variety of backgrounds across the city of Sheffield.  Inclusion is very important to us. Founded In 2014, Minerva Learning Trust grew from an outstanding single-academy, and has since grown to include primary, secondary, sixth form and one, unique post-16 provision. We have demonstrated a successful tenure of school improvement, growing schools from RI and inadequate Ofsted status to GOOD overall.
