Passionate and technically proficient computing teacher is moving from a salaried SCITT program to an ECT position. I have a great deal of experience teaching challenging courses, such as A-Level, BTEC, and the recently introduced T-Level certification, with an emphasis on Occupational Specialisations (OSP) and Employer-Set Projects (ESP). I regularly include Rosenshein’s Principles into my classes as an evidence-based practitioner. Using retrieval starters, scaffolded worked examples and rigorous Assessment for Learning (AFL) methods like hinge questions and digital feedback via Microsoft Teams. I take a methodical approach to learning. I am dedicated to help the students meet the technical requirements of the contemporary industry and reducing the achievement gap in computing.
