LO: To construct expressions involving file size, transmission rate and time for calculating network speeds.
This lesson is the 6th in a series of lessons designed to improve students’ understanding of how networks are organised. In this lesson students focus on the mathematics involved in calculating network speeds, file sizes and time taken to transmit data. Students are asked to recall learning about units used for measuring file sizes. This lesson reflects on the need for accuracy and questions involve units such as MiB, GiB and TiB.
