This is an Apprentice inspired task for my year 10's.
I purchased items from Poundland, and gave each team a box of different items. They have to conduct market research, come up with a promotional campaign, and keep track of sales etc. I gave them 1 week to sell, and the winning team get to keep their profits (and chocolate). Most teams re-invested their profits, and are able to see where they can make more money. It is such good fun, they love it & its fantastic for team building. Worked really well as a 'hands on' activity.
