A quick history of time!

As part of our “Time” topic, my pupils asked me about how we first learned about time and what we use to tell it. After a search on the Internet, I found there wasn’t anything out there that went into this in child-friendly language, so I created a SMART notebook presentation that investigates how and when we first began telling the time. As the title suggests, this is a quick tour of telling the time; the children really enjoyed this session! In this presentation there are also 2 fun quizzes for the children to participate in and I had my class creating mind maps of everything they learned throughout; which we then turned into really eye-catching posters.
