Resources for couple of lessons on the neutralisation of acids by insoluble bases. Focuses on the formation of Copper Sulphate using CuO + H2SO4 and Calcium Chloride using HCl and CuCO3. Includes:
Detailed Power Point with starters, explaination of bases and neutralisation. Task descriptions, follow-up questions, extension questions and choice of plenary tasks. Revision of evaporation and filtration key words and test for Carbon Dioxide.

Aimed at 11-14 but can be adapted to suit different ages and abilities. I use with Year 7/8, after work on the pH scale and Acid + Metal reactions.
