Overview of unit:
SOW reviewing all acting skills and theatrical conventions learnt over last two years to ensure that all students are at the same stage due to staffing in previous years. Students will spend each lessons going over these and then have to showcase them in a practical assessment at the end of the half term.

Assessment outcomes and criteria:
• Written Assessment: Students will complete a written assessment based on the second column of the progression grid reflecting on their progress throughout the half term and linking into the Component 1 portfolio.
• Students will be expected to keep a log book of everything they have completed in lessons before completing an acting skills/theatrical conventions presentation.
• Practical Assessment: Students to be assessed on their performing ability in front of the class and their ability to incorporate a range of techniques into their performance. Assessment is practical and as part of mixed ability group.
• Variety of peer and self-assessment opportunities when practicing and performing during lessons.
