This booklet (33 pages) is the sixth in a series of seven booklets. It teaches students the theory of computational constructs required for the Advanced Higher Computing Science exam.

This booklet covers:
Reading and writing data to and from existing files and databases, including inserting, amending and deleting data
Form structure using HTML, form processing using server-side script
Recursion
SQL Operations
- DDL (create)
- DML (insert, update, delete)
select statement (from, where, order by clause)
aggregate functions (count, sum, min, max, avg), group by clause
equi-joins between tables
The booklet includes two exercises of exam style questions to which answers are included as a separate file.

This booklet was written for the Scottish Advanced Higher Computer Science course but could be used as part of any advanced programming course covering these computational constructs.

Booklet 7 is currently being written to cover the complete exam syllabus and will be made available in the next few weeks.
