Inspired by AQA GCSE Religious Studies Theme A: Chapter 4 Religion & Life.

In this lesson, students will explore the meaning and ethics of euthanasia, examining different types such as voluntary, non-voluntary, active, and passive euthanasia. They will learn how these distinctions affect real-life situations and consider arguments for and against euthanasia from religious and secular perspectives. Through note-taking, case study discussion, and evaluation of Christian teachings about the sanctity of life, students will reflect on whether euthanasia can ever be morally acceptable.
