Week 6 of 6- A no-prep lesson that explores mixed media collage, combining all skills taught in this unit to create a final piece. Additionally, children in grades 1-3 will learn how to evaluate their efforts and complete learning journals.

This product contains a 11-slide Teaching PowerPoint that guides students through previous weeks’ learning (with linked, bespoke vocabulary-matching game hosted on WordWall©) and develops their understanding of how to create a mixed media collage. Once completed, children have two worksheets to complete- one focuses on encouraging children to journal about their experiences, including what they enjoyed and what they didn’t. The second sees children evaluate what they’ve learnt and their own outcomes.

This activity can be conducted as a class, or in smaller wellbeing groups to work on mindfulness or calming SEN children during the chaos of the school day.

This lesson is likely to take 2 hours, and requires the use of worksheets (included), fine-liner pens, sketching pencils and the work produced in previous lessons.
