This unit exposes students to Visual Arts and Dance techniques from over the globe, and allows them to experiment and expand their understanding of The Arts and culture. Students will be required to use various techniques by developing their own artworks, and respond by identifying how and why people dance in different countries.

This unit integrates Global perspectives and literacy alongside the relevant Arts subjects of Dance and Visual Art. While learning and applying the Elements of Arts, this unit allows learners to perceive and understand their own identity and the identity of people from around the world, as they begin to understand what goes into shaping culture.

The work program is perfect for NQT’s and Australian teachers who would like to break away from C2C but don’t know where to start. For Primary teachers who are not arts specialists, this provides teachers the means to ensure they are covering the curriculum through enriching lessons. While links are included to ACARA, the unit content is applicable for International, and English curriculum.

Included in this program are:

  • 17 fully resourced lesson plans (includes all worksheets, PPT’s, videos and activities)
  • Explicit links to the General Capabilities
  • Curriculum links
  • A Glossary of Great Games
  • Differentiated tasks
  • Assessment options
