A series of art lessons and accompanying powerpoint for ks2 sealife topic with strong environmental science links focusing on the work of two contrasting, contemporary artists who use recycled plastics to create art. Children will explore creating and understanding works of art that draw attention to the environmental concerns of polluted oceans. They will develop their sketching, sculpting and design skills as well as debating environmental issues prompted by video links and images on the powerpoint and developing ability to comment constructively on the work of their peers and artists. Includes Blooms taxonomy questions and links for teacher research.
