This book is about the use of the BBC micro:bit computer with external devices, such as sensors, LEDs, buzzers and so on. The BBC micro:bit computer can be programmed using several different programming languages, such as Microsoft Block Editor, Microsoft Touch Develop, MicroPython, and JavaScript.
The book covers more than 27 tested and working projects using external components. Various programming languages are used in the projects to give the user broader knowledge and experience in programming.

The following are given for each project:

• Title of the project
• Description of the project
• Aim of the project
• Difficulty level
• Block diagram
• Circuit diagram
• Program listing
• Try for yourself

Complete programs are given for each project. In addition, the logical operation of the projects are described briefly in each section. Students are encouraged to go through the projects in the order given in the book.

It is expected that the readers have some experience of programming the BBC micro:bit computer using either the Block Editor, Touch Develop, or the MicroPython programming language.
