Bees and Butterflies - EYFS Dance Scheme of Work

Linking with the Statutory Framework Specific Area: Understanding
the World, Reception pupils will focus on the Early Learning Goal of:
The Natural World and create a dance based on Bees and Butterflies.

They will explore moving with a range of actions directions and
speeds, responding to the way these animals move They will also use
prepositional place language to develop creative responses.

Pupils will be taught a short dance sequence based on traveling and
balancing, and develop their own duets inspired by the theme. These
sequences will be improved by the use of basic choreographic devices
and discussed using correct action, dynamic and positional language
